Membership levels:
Institutional Member:
Historically and/or Predominately Black Colleges/Universities with colleges/schools or programs in the allied health professions/non-MD health professions shall be eligible for Instituitional Membership. Each institutional member shall have full voting rights, including the right to elect Directors and to vote on Articles of Amendment to the By-Laws. Each Institutional Member shall be represented, on the Board of Directors, by an "Institutional Representative" and shall be entitlef to three (3) votes at the Board level.
Individual Member:
Individuals who have an abiding interest in enhancing allied health programs for minorities and underserved persons, including both education and service, shall be eligible for Individual Membership. Each Individual Member shall have full voting rights, including the right to elect Directors and to vote on Articles of Amendment to the By-Laws. Each individual member is entitled to one vote in the business of the Corporation.
Student Member:
Students attending Institutional Member collegers/universities shall be eligible for membrship without vote in the business of the Corporation.
Associate Organizational Member:
Agencies, associaitons, societies and programs, which have relationships to and/or interest in the development of allied health programs for minorities shall be eliginble for Associate Organizaitonal Membership. Each Associate Organizational Member shall have full voting rights, including the right to elect Directors and to vote on Articles of Amendfment; each Associater Organizational Member shall be represented by an "Associater Representative" and shall be entitled to one (1) vote.
Sustaining Member:
Corporate and financiial- entities having an interest in sustaining and enhancing allied health programs for minorities shall be eligible for Sustaining Membership. This category of member shall not be entitled to elect Directors or to vote on Articles of Amendment and have no vote in the business of the Corporation.
All membership categories are invited to participate in the annual Conference of the Corporation. Regular members and students are encouraged to submit abstracts to possibly present research or community-based programs at the annual Conference. All membership categories are invited to submit manuscripts for consideration for publication in the Journal of the National Society of Allied Health. All members shall have access to the Journal - in libraries of institutional members, hard copy or online. All Individual members are elgible to stand for an office in the Corporation; according to eligibility as outlined in the By-Laws
